Play Your Part:
Your Money,
Your Community,
Your Vote!

The People's Money is New York City's annual citywide Participatory Budgeting (PB) initiative where community members decide how to spend part of the city's budget. Every year New Yorkers vote to decide what projects to implement in their communities.

We invite you to submit your ideas for what you would like to see implemented in your borough! Idea Generation is open from October 10 to November 22, 2024..

Submit an Idea

Workshops are being held across the city where you can meet fellow New Yorkers and work together to come up with an idea for how to spend part of the city budget. These sessions usually last an hour and a half and are held by the CEC's contracted partners. Browse below to find a session near you!

Borough Assembly Committees

In Phase 2 of the People’s Money, over 100 volunteers served on five Borough Assembly Committees. They evaluated hundreds of ideas that New Yorkers submitted last fall and developed top ideas into projects. They all think it is important to vote in The People’s Money!
